HOW BUYING WORKS

You buy from an Indian company, in rupees.

So Japan India Pvt. Ltd. is registered in India and holds an Importer Exporter Code, so the import, the customs clearance and the invoice are ours to deal with. You place the order here and pay here.

PRICING

We quote landed cost in INR, with customs duty, IGST and freight already in it, so the margin you calculate is the margin you get.

LABELLING

Imported packaged goods sold in India carry a declaration that includes the maximum retail price inclusive of all taxes. The MRP is a ceiling set for the label, not the price you have to sell at.

IF IT IS A TOY

Character goods that count as toys fall under India's Toys Quality Control Order, which requires a BIS licence and the standard mark. We check that before we commit to a line, because it decides whether the product can be imported at all.
