WORTH KNOWING · 制度

One rule that makes Japanese textiles easier to import.

India requires imported textiles to be certified free of the azo dyes it prohibits. Fabric of Japanese origin is exempt from producing that test certificate, which takes a step and a delay out of the shipment. It is a small thing on paper and a real one when you are trying to hit a season.

Beyond that, what decides whether a material works for you is usually the landed cost and the minimum order the mill will accept. We put both in front of you early, in INR, rather than after you have spent a month on samples.
